4.4 stars. We came to try their popular chicken dishes, starting with the deep-fried chicken tendons (knuckles) $12. These were crispy and lightly battered, with a good crunch. The lemon grass chicken wings, a special of the day on their board $12, were a bit dry but still flavorful. We also tried the Combo Khao Man Gai (Hainanese chicken) with Gai Tod (crispy fried chicken) $19. While the chicken wasn't exactly Hainanese chicken as the sauces and rice were different, it was still poached, resulting in tender and soft meat. I preferred the Gai Tod, which had a good light batter and soft meat. Had another make your own combo $19 Hainanese chicken with their grilled chicken over egg noodles. The combo also came with a delicious winter melon soup. The Roti $6 was also great for the kids; they enjoyed dipping it in different sauces. Our server was nice and had good recommendations. The bathroom and tables were clean, and that's always a good sign. Probably because they are still relatively new, hopefully it stays this way. For our family of four, the bill came to around $80 before tip. We didn't get to try selections of dessert this time, but we will definitely be back to try it and other dishes.

Chicken rice is fantastic here, and they offer grilled chicken as well which I haven't seen before for khao mai. Lots of great sauces and every option of chicken and sauce hits right. But I will say...skip everything else. Thai tea is very generic, fried tofu seems like grocery store frozen stuff. But the chicken rice, that's where it's at!

Damn, I was wondering why I was not seeing Aroy Mak on Doordash in my location anymore (West Seattle). I used to order from here about once or twice a week. It was that good. They would occasionally throw in something extra, which I really appreciated. Chicken is always perfectly cooked no matter what the preparation. Their specials are alway good. Their food is always fresh and consistent in quality. Options are healthy. Amazing value.

Welcome to the Greenwood neighborhood, Aroy Mak Thai Food! Now I got a new place to frequent if I'm ever craving some solid Thai food. My wife and I came in on a Sunday evening, and having the tables pretty bustling and full is usually a good sign. The interior of the restaurant is really quaint, and we love the Seattle + Aroy Mak mural on the wall! +1 for aesthetics My wife and I ordered the chicken dishes, and we wanted to try all three types of chicken (Hainan, fried, and grilled). I ordered the egg noodles whereas my wife ordered her combo to come with ginger rice. First off: wow, the soup they serve was delicious! Super simple and clean, and I downed my soup in a heartbeat. The chicken were cooked beautifully, and my order of preference would be: 1. Hainan 2. Grilled 3. Fried Don't get me wrong - all three were delicious and moist, as chicken should be. The fried had a lot of batter though and didn't seem as satisfying compared to the Hainan or grilled chicken. The ginger sauce that came with the Hainan chicken though -- chef's freaking kiss. I hate ginger myself, but I was drowning every piece of chicken in that marvelous concoction. My only qualm? The noodles (as seen in the photo) seemed like a lot - which it was! But secretly underneath the noodles lie a bed of cabbage. One of my pet peeves is when restaurants mask the quantity of noodles or something with an unsuspecting surprise, which in this case was just plain cabbage. I would lose the cabbage and would love more noodles. But overall - wow, this place should get more attention. My wife and I left content, smiling to know that we have a great Thai staple so close to our home.
